If you want to win in Network Marketing then Quitting is not an Option

Here is a sad fact...most people who come into Network Marketing quit! Now, there are many ways to view that statistic. I always chose to look at it with my positive view of the world. First of all, quitting is not unique to Network Marketing alone. People quit school, they quit jobs, they quit marriages, they quit exercising; quitting is easy. People by nature quit when things get tough.
Second, I realized that my desire to succeed and life's experiences made me certain that I wasn't going to quit. So I knew I was going to be way ahead of the masses, simply by deciding not to quit.
I cannot conceive, even for a moment what it would be like to face myself in the mirror, knowing that I had quit. Can you imagine going through life with a voice inside of you crying out that it knows you are a quitter? What a terrible thing to think of someone else. What an unimaginable thing to believe about yourself!
We have all heard the story of the great orator Winston Churchill giving a graduation speech shortly after the Allies had vanquished Hitler. Churchill's entire speech is said to have consisted of six words: "Never, never, never, never give up!" Churchill's admonition is incredibly profound and undeniably true; quitting is not an option if you are going to win in life.
Quitting is a disease that will grow if it finds a host to live in. Kill me and drain all of the blood out of me, and then, maybe, I will quit. Short of that, if I still have a pulse, there is still the possibility of a win.
I can assure you that virtually every day of your life you will hear an inner voice encouraging you to quit something. Quitting always represents the easy road-the path of least resistance. The path of least resistance leads to a lack of belief in yourself and your ability to accomplish what you have conceived in your mind and tied to your emotions. The path of least resistance leads to doubt and disappointment. It is the path that ultimately leads to failure.
The path of least resistance destroys any potential for character, because it steers clear of those events that must occur in your life if you are ever to test your metal, toughen your character, and temper your resolve. Each time you embrace challenge as a new opportunity to grow, you will become more and more disdainful of the path of least resistance. You will be too busy blazing the trail to your greatest potential to even think about quitting!
Imagine for a moment what kind of a place America would be if Martin Luther King had quit. He certainly faced moments when he felt as though he was making absolutely no progress in his quest for racial equality. Do you suppose there were times when he was tempted to forget about excellence and reset his personal default on average?
The pages of history are replete with tales of the great victories that were won by those who refused to quit ... and the tragedy of the unfulfilled potential from those who gave in and gave up. Quitting is about one thing and one thing only: the depth of one's character.
The history of Network Marketing is filled with great stories of victories that came through sheer determination and a refusal to quit. The same industry has as its heritage the tragedy of people who could have developed a great lifestyle if they just exhibited the character to stick out their pursuit of their dreams.
One of the greatest gifts that you can give yourself is the promise not to quit. Making the promise is one thing...fulfilling the promise is entirely another. You see quitting is easy...it creates that instant gratification which feels good now. Quitting does not call on you to dig deep within yourself to test the measure of your character.
Imagine a scenario if you will, to demonstrate a point. Imagine your mother and father working all of their life...saving all of their life. They never lived in the house they probably could have afforded because they were saving their money to surprise you one day with a wonderful gift that would affect the rest of your life.
They didn't go out to movies...they took only one or two vacations in their life because they were so dedicated to this gift they were going to present to you today... They sit you down and with tears in their eyes they explain how much they love you and that they had worked very hard in their life and had to sacrifice many areas of their life so that they could present you with the check that they are about to hand to you.
They begin to hand you the check and say to you, "we want you to buy your own business so that you can be the master of your own destiny. We want you to buy (your Network Marketing opportunity)." and they hand you a check for two million dollars. Now imagine that to get into your opportunity and it costs two million dollars instead of the paltry amount that you paid. With tears in your eyes you promise your mom and dad that you will be successful in the building of your business and you will not let them down.
Now here is the question. How easy or difficult would it be to quit now? How would you treat your business under those circumstances? Would you hesitate to invest in your knowledge about the business and leadership skills? Would there be any amount of no's that you could get that would dissuade you from the mission of succeeding so that your parents' efforts and sacrifice were not in vain?
One of the great things about a Network Marketing business is that it doesn't cost much to get in. One of the terrible things about a Network Marketing business is that it doesn't cost much to get in. With the low threshold of risk it is easy for people to walk away if they are not flying into the money immediately.
By deciding early on that quitting is not an option, you will have passed 85% of the people who have come into this industry. That decision alone will put you in the top 15% of all of the people w ho start in the first place. Just like in life, sometimes just showing up with a great attitude is half of the battle. Here, that is especially true.
Let's keep in perspective what it is that you are trying to accomplish. You are seeking to gain financial independence through the launching of your own home-based business opportunity. Do you know how few people have ever reached financial independence? You can do it... but let's start with the right mindset so that you don't have your expectations and reality so far apart that you throw up your hands and say this is not worth the struggle.
If you are unwilling to go through the process of rejection, difficulty, personal growth and being tested to see what you are made of, then this industry is not for you.
You are going to be personally tested more in this industry than anything else you do. Are you going to shy away from that challenge...or embrace it knowing that it is the struggles and the defeats that you respond to with greater vision and action that will turn you into the person you need to become to be a success?
I want you to make yourself a promise...Quitting is not an option. If you quit this then there is a substantial likelihood that you will quit something else that pushes you to see who you really are and what you are made of. Quitting is a pattern of behavior that you will repeat. Not quitting is a pattern of behavior that will also repeat itself. Draw you personal line in the sand. Decide that with this journey, there is no such thing as quit. Tell yourself, it is simply not an option.
