FOCUS ON PROSPECTING

Have you been trying to prospect and not getting a lot of great recruits? You know, going out to contact new people, hoping that they would approach you and ask if you might have an opportunity that could perhaps change their lives? Well, perhaps my wisdom and experience of 20 years will still be appropriate today for you. By the way, I still recruit and still prospect daily. The only thing I most likely have done differently is that I prospect every day, I am intense about this business, I wanted a PAYCHECK not a PLAYCHECK.

When you prospect do you return home or get off the phone telling yourself that you gave it a try and it just didn't work for you? Have you become a student of Leadership in Network Marketing? What books are you reading? Are you attending seminars that are fun but not productive? Are you going to events just because a corporate office puts them on or are you really looking for where there are people who have massive results.

I have over 30 top Sales Directors who are in our organization, not one, not 2 not 4-5, but 30. Clearly, I have experience in promoting leaders. In fact I am proud to say that I promoted the most leaders in DT in the last decade. Now, that's interesting, and I have the number one income.

So, when I say focus on improving your prospecting, I mean it. There are many methods to get a Network Marketing business growing and into momentum. The fast track is to prospect more. If you are getting no's, ask people to tell you what about your presentation made them say no, find out how to IMPROVE your presentation. Fine-tune your approach to increase your odds of success.

You might find a person who gets excited right away. They may have been hoping for a chance to change their financial picture. So, when you come along and believe in them like no one else ever has, they embrace you and your ideas with open arms. Or you may meet someone who takes a couple of months to decide what they are going to do. They ask to see literature, meet some other people and go to a meeting before they finally get "in".

There is a day you get into Network Marketing but nothing happens until the day Network Marketing gets into you.

Many people are likely to tell you they are not interested, at least not now. This isn't unique to this business. It happens when people sell insurance, cars and everything else. 95% of what you do in this business is preparative for the 5% that will lead to you r success. So, it's important to realize and accept this as reality. It will be easier for you to keep going, doing what you need to do to build your business.

I want to share with you my formula that made me a fortune. First of all people want to be associated with others who have a positive attitude. People want to be recruited by a rising star. You just need to meet enough people and you will find some who will want to do whatever you are doing.

Imagine a parade going down the main street of your town or neighborhood. It stops for a couple of minutes. Now picture yourself asking each person in the parade if they would like to associate with you. You don't give them any details, they just go by your appearance and personality. Would any of them be interested? The answer is most likely "yes." A few may see you as the type of person they'd enjoy being around and they'd join you.

Now, imagine the same parade stopped and you had a few minutes with each person you spoke to. Would more people join you? They probably would. In the first scene there'd be people who didn't like you form the start and you'd never change their minds. Then there'd be others who were so centered on themselves that they never even heard you. But, there would also be some, who after briefly meeting you weren't' sure what they wanted to do. But given the opportunity to talk to you again in the second scene, they'd be able to make up their minds and join you. And there would be some who liked you immediately and without hesitation they said, "YES.

This is emotional arithmetic. When you "show the plan" to enough people, some will get "in" almost instantly, while others will refuse just as fast. Some will wait and decide that this opportunity is not for them, while others will come to a bigger meeting for more information before saying "no. Some will only need a little information and they are excited enough to get "in. Others may need to explore all aspects of the business before they join you.

You need to go through the numbers, as impersonal as it may sound, because doing that and fine-tuning your skills is what works.

Contact more, sponsor more. The prospects answers won't be as important as they once seemed, you've reduced them to a simple formula. As you meet more people, prospect more, you'll also get better with the process.

You no longer just try to sponsor people. You choose to either do it or not, based on how serious you are about achieving your goals and dreams.

There are reasons why people succeed and only excuses why they don't.

Remember, you have to be like a shark! You know what happens to a shark if it stops swimming? It sinks and dies, and you will too, if you don't keep moving! The world is changing so fast that it's time to move fast with it! The single most powerful obstacle to your future success will be the inaccurate picture you have of yourself today. Forget what you think you can't do! Forget what you think you don't know! Forget what people have told you about your limitations!

See one, do one, teach one, 2 new friends a day brings freedom my way!
