FireSilicone-EMA™

BOSS FireSilicone-EMA™ is a high-performance fire-rated silicone sealant formulated for construction joints and service penetrations in fire-rated walls and floors. It is a one-part, neutral-curing silicone that cures at room temperature under atmospheric humidity to form a permanently flexible silicone rubber. Designed for environments requiring both fire protection and movement capability, FireSilicone-EMA™ offers exceptional adhesion to a wide range of common building materials and delivers up to 5 hours fire resistance depending on system design.

Ideal for sealing linear joints and service penetrations including pipes and electrical services, FireSilicone-EMA™ provides excellent acoustic insulation and air-seal performance while remaining non-slump, easy to tool and simple to install. Highly weather resistant, it is suitable to exterior and interior projects across commercial, industrial, infrastructure and high-rise residential construction, providing a long-term durable fire and smoke seal.

Testing

BOSS FireSilicone-EMA™ is fully tested and approved to AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1-2005, providing fire resistance ratings of up to FRL -/300/300. The product has a wide range of vertical and horizontal linear gap seals / joints and service penetration configurations.

It has also been tested for linear joints up to 60mm wide, movement performance ±25%, air permeability to 600Pa, and acoustic isolation performance, making it suited for demanding applications where fire protection must be balanced with movement and air-sealing requirements. Recent seismic testing with the FyreBox™ has shown significant movement capabilities. Full configuration details and test assessments are available via the BOSS Fire System Matrix and associated fire assessment reports.
