P40-MAK Wrap™

P40-MAK Wrap™ is a high-performance thermal insulation wrap designed to increase the insulation performance of thermally conductive service penetrations passing through fire-rated walls and floors. Constructed from medium-density mineral fibre insulation with a reinforced aluminium foil backing, it prevents heat transfer during a fire event and helps maintain fire compartment separation integrity. Recent testing now provides a range of structural steel, purlin, threaded rod and unistrut penetrations.

Lightweight, flexible and simple to install, P40-MAK Wrap™ can be wrapped around cables, cable trays and pipes and secured using foil tape or wire ties, providing up to 240 minutes insulation depending on configuration. It is compatible with FyreBox™, FyreBox™ Cast-In, BOSS Batts™, FireMastic-300™, and MaxiCollar™ BOSS penetration sealing products. Suitable for commercial, industrial and residential environments, it delivers a cost-effective and installer-friendly insulation upgrade solution.

Testing

BOSS P40-MAK Wrap™ is tested and approved to AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1-2005, providing up to 240 minutes insulation performance for conductive services including steel pipes, copper pipes, mains powercables, TPS power cables, telecommunications cables and cable trays. Recent testing now provides a range of structural steel, purlin, threaded rod and unistrut penetrations with FireMastic-300™ and BOSS Batts™.

Installation performance is dependent on system configuration, annular gap requirements and substrate type, and final compliance must be verified against the BOSS Fire System Matrix and test evidence. The wrap is non-hazardous, recyclable, low-irritant and environmentally safe.
