Thermal Defence Wrap™
Thermal Defence Wrap™ is an ultra-thin, high-performance insulation wrap engineered to control heat transfer in metallic or heat-conductive service penetrations passing through fire-rated walls and floors. Designed to maintain required insulation performance during a fire event, the system prevents excessive temperature rise on services on heat conductive surfaces. It forms part of an overall fire tested system, used in conjunction with aperture sealing products such as FyreBox™, FireMastic-300™, FireSilicone-EMA™, UniWrap® & BOSS Batts™.
Constructed as a thin, flexible wrap that is easy to form, cut and install even in tight spaces, Thermal Defence Wrap™ provides rapid installation and reliable fire protection around cables, trays, steel, copper and iron pipes, and lagged pipe systems. The wrap delivers excellent thermal insulation performance and is tested and approved to AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1-2005, achieving up to 120 minutes insulation depending on service type and application configuration.

Testing
Thermal Defence Wrap™ is tested and approved to AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1-2005, providing insulation performance for up to 120 minutes across a wide range of applications including cables, cable trays, steel sprinkler pipes, mains power, TPS cables, comms and data cable bundles.
The product is part of the certified BOSS Thermal Defence System, integrating with BOSS aperture sealing products to ensure compliant fire compartment performance. Testing information and installation detail configurations are available via the BOSS Fire System Matrix and associated assessments.
