FyreBox™ Cast-In
BOSS FyreBox™ Cast-In is a multi-service cable and pipe transit device designed for firestopping bundled services through fire rated concrete floor slabs. Engineered specifically for new construction, it is installed before the concrete pour, saving time, space, and eliminating the need for messy, costly concrete coring. By pre-planning the passive fire protection, the design eliminates compliance risks in shaft and riser applications.
The FyreBox™ Cast-In features advanced, high pressure intumescent material around the internal perimeter of the metal chassis. Upon exposure to fire intumescent expands to seal voids around metallics & closes gaps left by melting combustibles to form a dense char as a high-performance fire seal. FyreBox Cast-In™ is ideal for new construction projects, riser shafts, service stacks or slab penetrations where numerous electrical, plumbing or HVAC services must pass through a fire-rated floor. The product includes the innovative BOSS Fire® BrushSeal™ for easier installation and compliance.

Testing
When properly installed per the certified system configuration, FyreBox Cast-In™ achieves fire resistance of up to FRL -/240/240 in accordance with AS1530.4:2014 & AS4072.1-2005.
Extensive hours of research and development, fire testing and engineering have gone into the FyreBox™ development which allows the outcomes currently outlined in Branz report FC12925.
