BOSS MaxiCollars™ are high-performance retrofit fire collars designed to seal combustible pipes and lagged metal pipes where they pass through fire-rated walls and floors. Manufactured with a durable steel casing containing an advanced intumescent lining, they expand rapidly in a fire event to crush, seal and close the internal pipe bore, preventing the spread of fire, smoke and hot gases between compartments. With a low-profile depth of just 30–40mm, MaxiCollars™ provide outstanding performance even in tight access areas or congested service clusters.
Available in a wide range of sizes, BOSS MaxiCollars™ are approved for use across numerous substrates including concrete, masonry, fire rated plasterboard, AAC/Hebel, Speedpanel, concrete floor slabs, CLT & BOSS Batts™. They offer extensive test approvals to AS1530.4:2014 & AS4072.1-2005, achieving FRL ratings of 60, 90, 120 and 240 minutes depending on system configuration. MaxiCollars™ support various combustible pipes up to 160mm diameter and insulated pipes up to 250mm dia including lagging. MaxiCollars™ have approvals for uPVC, cPVC, HDPE, PP-R, PE, PP-MD-PP, PEX/PEX-AL, and insulated steel, copper and iron pipes.
