FacadeGard™
FacadeGard™ is a high-performance Open State Cavity Barrier (OSCB) designed to protect ventilated rainscreen façade systems by preventing the spread of fire through cavity voids. Installed between the external façade cladding and the internal building structure, the system maintains façade ventilation during normal building operation and rapidly expands under heat to seal the cavity during a fire event. FacadeGard™ supports linear air gaps of 25mm or 50mm depending on the system type, allowing constant airflow and moisture drainage while maintaining façade system integrity.
Third-party tested and approved in accordance with ASFP TGD19 and performance criteria from EN 1363-1:2020, FacadeGard™ provides up to 120 minutes of fire resistance, delivering class-leading façade cavity fire protection for modern ventilated façade systems. The product range includes multiple configurations suitable for voids from 2mm to 550mm, with 25+ year assumed working life, fast installation using stainless steel brackets or adhesive support, and compatibility with vertical and horizontal façade cavity applications.

Testing
FacadeGard™ has been tested in accordance with ASFP TGD19, incorporating fire-testing requirements from EN 1363-1:2020, providing up to 120 minutes of integrity and insulation performance depending on air gap size and void configuration. Performance tables indicate ≤ 5 minutes closure time and compliant protection for voids ranging from 2mm to 550mm across the system variants.
The product is also supported by third-party approval IFCC 1672 Certification and meets NCC passive fire protection expectations when installed in accordance with certified system documentation and the BOSS Fire System Matrix.
