FlushBox FirePad™

The BOSS FlushBox FirePad™ is an intumescent firestop pad engineered to fire rate metal electrical flush boxes within hollow fire-rated walls. Made for power points, GPOs and electrical outlet penetrations, the high-performance intumescent expands roughly 25 times when exposed to fire, sealing the flush box cavity to stop the passage of flame, smoke and hot gases through the wall.

Already cut to size and self-adhesive, the FlushBox FirePad™ simply peels and sticks to the back of the box, so a compliant install takes seconds and retrofits to existing flush boxes. At just 4mm thick, it suits single and double-layer plasterboard and concrete or masonry walls. Tested to AS1530.4:2014 in both one-sided and back-to-back configurations, it holds the required fire resistance level up to -/120/120.

The BOSS FlushBox FirePad™ is tested to AS1530.4:2014, achieving fire resistance levels up to -/60/60 and -/120/120 in fire-rated plasterboard walls. Permissible variations within the standard extend these to concrete and masonry walls. Both one-sided (exposed and unexposed) and back-to-back configurations have been tested. Confirm the tested system suits your construction and seek acceptance from the certifying authority or compliance inspector before installation.
